Casco Bay Auctions, LLC was founded in 2019 to provide auction services to clients in the communities of Southern and Midcoast Maine. Located in Freeport, we travel throughout the region collecting consignments for our auctions. We hold live auctions at our Freeport gallery, as well as periodic online only auctions. All of our sales are also simulcast online, allowing us to reach aninternational audience and increase hammer prices.

As a company, we pride ourselves on dealing with clients in an honest, straight forward manner, and with complete confidentiality. Our goal is to make the consignment process simple and transparent, and to provide buyers with an exceptional level of service. To buyers, we provide personalized service, accurate descriptions, and affordable shipping options.

Auctioneer & Owner Andrew Davis

Born and raised in Central Maine, Andrew got his start in the auction business in 2005, when, as a college student, he got a gig as a freelance photographer with Northeast Auctions in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This led to a nearly 15 year career with one of the largest East Coast auction companies. Working with legendary auctioneer and Antiques Roadshow appraiser Ron Bourgeault, Andrew handled a huge variety of incredible pieces, and learned a great deal on all aspects of the auction business. 

In 2019, Ron Bourgeault made the decision to retire, leaving Andrew without a job, but with a great opportunity to fill the space left by the recent closures of several auction houses in the area. With a lot of hard work, and with a lot of support from friends, family and patrons, Casco Bay Auctions held their first sale in September of 2019.
